Dental Excellence

The Kornberg School of Dentistry's Postbaccalaureate program is an intensive, 11-month, preparatory program designed to help pre-dental students strengthen their skills in the sciences, prepare for or improve their scores on the DAT, and gain valuable clinical experience to enhance their application to U.S. and Canadian dental schools.

Interested applicants can apply through the Post Baccalaureate Centralized Application Service (PostbacCAS).

How to Apply

Prospective students can make an account on and apply using the Post Baccalaureate Centralized Application Service (PostbacCAS) by the application deadline.

Financial Aid

To receive federal aid, applicants must complete a FAFSA application. Dependent students who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents are eligible to borrow up to $5,500 (subsidized and/or unsubsidized) through the Federal Direct Loan Program. Independent students who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents are eligible to borrow up to $12,500 through the Federal Direct Loan Program. Federal aid is not available for international students.

If additional funding is necessary after all potential grants, federal aid, and scholarship opportunities are exhausted, students may choose to obtain an alternative loan to help with tuition, fees, and living expenses. To apply for alternative loans, students will apply directly to the lender, then the lender will work with Temple to disperse the loan funds to your student account. Temple Dental urges student borrowers to do their research on different private loan lenders, understand the terms of various loan agreements, and choose one that best suits their needs.
